Boarding at Sreenidhi

Boarding at Sreenidhi is where your child will become a part of the 24 hours, 7 days a week safe and life-long learning community where they grow up to be global citizens. They will be well taken care of by our experienced dorm parents and teachers and surrounded by their friends, peers and staff. The dorm parent’s role is well beyond the role of pastoral care. They will nurture your child at various stages of their growth, and provide all the support, trust, and kindness while respecting every child’s unique individuality. Boarders often form a bond that strengthens their relationship well after their life at SIS.

Dorm Facility

Every student in SIS boarding is given a well-ventilated cubicle space equipped with an inbuilt desk, bed, cupboard and storage space. Boarders can access the common area in the dorm. The entire dorm building is fitted with centralised air conditioning throughout. There are four wings in the dorm building, three of which are designated for boys. The West Wing is designated for girls only with its own separate entrance and a capacity for 14 girls. Sreenidhi boarding can accommodate 72 boarders.

Age Group

SIS boarding is for grades 5 – 12 (ages 10 – 18 years). We have separate wings for boys and girls – the dorm is divided into a junior and senior wing for boys and a separate wing for girls. Our boarding system ensures that senior students mentor and care for the junior students. They respect each other’s privacy and support each other as required.

Extra-curricular Activities

Dance, Drama, Music and Art, Football, Basketball, Tennis, Squash, Cricket, Table Tennis, Badminton, Carrom and Chess is available to the students. Yoga teachers help the students to maintain their physical and mental well being.

Five day and Seven-day boarding

Five-day boarders spend their weekdays with us in boarding and school. They leave campus on Friday evening after school and sports to their home to spend the weekend with their parents and arrive back on Monday morning.

Seven-day boarders are free to schedule their extra-curricular activities, academic support and other recreation in advance and spend their time cycling inside the campus.

SIS assures you that your child will learn to be independent, academically focused, and experience various sports and extra-curricular activities. The boarding schedule keeps your child occupied and spending their time in productive or recreational ways. They also can utilize the huge spacious library for school or personal reading and can continue their research with the e-resources with our high-speed wifi.

Socialising and Breaking Monotonous

The common area in our boarding gives your child time to relax, interact, and chat with other boarders. This provides an opportunity to build strong friendships that often last for years. By boarding in the dorm, your child will receive an experiential learning opportunity well beyond the classroom that helps them to gain leadership skills and qualities. Every child in boarding will be supported by the school counsellor, school nurse, library resources, and college counsellor, along with the well-trained support staff. We are proud to have a strong team to support your child to acquire various skills that guarantee a holistic education and equip them to face the challenges as internationally-minded global citizens in the 21st century.
